Rame Consulting Limited was appointed as Project Manager for the extension and repurposing of an existing campus of office buildings to become a high quality student accommodation set of buildings. The role included appointing a team for the pre purchase technical due diligence to establish risk and mitigation strategies, and to assist the client in setting off costs of those risks from the purchase price of the office asset. The scheme included extending the office buildings vertically by 1 or 2 storeys; and the provision of high quality amenity space over an area of approximately 3,000 sq.ft. at Ground Floor including a cinema room and “come dine with me” space.
The scheme comprised 100% studios. Amenity space for the students was considered key in attracting residents.
Amenity space included high quality contemporary lounge areas, a library/reading zone, study space, a gym and “come dine with me” space.
Dedicated rooms were provided within the amenity suite for music rehearsal and separate space for games consoles.
A screening space was created for students allowing film nights catering for over 20 people.
